What is Tritom®?

Our solution, Tritom®, is a lightweight yet reliable data intermediation service that complies with EU requirements. Tritom® is an ecosystem and integration solution developed by DataSpace Europe for securely transmitting licensed information. Developed since 2016, it has been tailored to align with the goals of the European data strategy and its implementing regulations. Importantly, Tritom® does not store data. It comprises several modules designed for specific purposes:
Tritom® Enterprise: Aimed at service providers.
Tritom® Essential: Tailored for data owners and service users.

What is the difference between Tritom Essential and Tritom Enterprise?

Tritom® Essential: Designed for data owners (e.g., agricultural entrepreneurs) and service users. With this module, data owners can determine what data is shared and with whom, using permission settings. Service users can purchase services from providers within the Essential module.
Tritom® Enterprise: Built for service providers, this module allows organizations to manage their data, create, and describe data and service products. It’s particularly suitable for organizations offering SaaS services or managing internal data.

What is a data space?

A data space is a framework that facilitates data sharing within an ecosystem. It establishes clear guidelines for participants to share, trade, and collaborate on data assets in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The aim is to create new value, foster innovation, and set standards for exchanging data and digital services. Data spaces are integral to the European data strategy, supporting a thriving, democratic, and sovereign digital economy.

What is a data intermediary?

DataSpace Europe is the first EU-approved data intermediary service, making it a pioneer in the field. A data intermediary, as defined by the Data Governance Act, is a neutral entity that facilitates data exchanges without processing or using the data itself. Acting solely as an intermediary, a data intermediary can also be referred to as a "Data Operator." It provides a solution for organizations to exchange data securely and transparently.

What are the benefits of using Tritom®?

Secure Data Transmission: Tritom® securely transmits your data to your specified destination for a specific purpose.
Access to Services: Enables purchasing services from multiple service providers within the ecosystem.
Business Growth Opportunities: Service providers can reach new customers, and users can monetize their expertise by offering services or data to other participants in the ecosystem.

Can I trust that my data is safe in Tritom®?

Absolutely. Tritom® does not store or use the data being exchanged. Your data remains outside the Tritom® system, which functions solely as a secure intermediary channel. DataSpace Europe’s operations are overseen by Traficom, ensuring compliance with EU data regulations. These regulations protect data producers and guarantee that data is not misused or accessed by unauthorized parties, including DataSpace Europe.

How can I start using Tritom®?

To begin using Tritom®, register and sign a contract with us. Once logged in, you can explore available services and select the ones that meet your needs. You will make a direct agreement with the service provider, sharing only the data required for the selected service. The exchanged data remains confidential, visible only to you and the service provider—not even DataSpace Europe has access to it.
